Yen Thanh: Inter-commune traffic route seriously degraded

(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Yen Thanh district reported that the inter-commune road, about 15 km long (from Van Thanh to Duc Thanh), is seriously degraded, causing difficulties for vehicles. Voters requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct sectors and localities to soon have a plan to upgrade the road to ensure traffic for people..

The relevant authorities responded to this issue as follows:

The rural traffic route from the Town - Duc Thanh through the communes of Van Thanh, Phuc Thanh, Hau Thanh, Lang Thanh, Ma Thanh, Duc Thanh is an important traffic route connecting the district center with the communes in the Northwest region.

This is an asphalt gravel road that was constructed in 2003. During use, many sections were damaged. The District People's Committee has carried out maintenance and repairs, but due to limited funding, only a few weak sections have been repaired.

In 2015 and 2016, 2 km of the section from Hau Thanh commune through Bac Yen Thanh High School to Lang Thanh commune was repaired.

Belonging to this route, the section: Town ÷ Duc Thanh has been permitted by the Provincial People's Committee to establish an investment project in Decision No. 884/QD.UBND-DTXD dated March 19, 2013 with provincial budget capital; Approved construction drawings and total estimate in Decision No. 4469/QD.UBND dated September 15, 2016, the total approved estimate is: 29,861 billion VND; Approved the winning contractor for construction and installation in Decision No. 8473/QD.UBND dated October 24, 2016 and started construction from October 26, 2016.

Up to now, the project has completed the following items: Drainage ditches and ditches along the road (20 cross-drains and 3km of ditches along the road) and completed 200m of road surface through Van Thanh commune. The completed acceptance value reached 7.5 billion VND, the allocated budget to date is 5.3 billion VND.

Implementing Directive 07/CT-TG of the Prime Minister dated April 30, 2015 on strengthening measures to handle outstanding debts of construction investment projects from public investment capital, the Government does not allow enterprises to invest their own capital to prepare for investment and construct projects without capital allocation, causing outstanding debts in basic construction, so the project is currently suspended.

The Provincial People's Committee is continuing to recommend to the Central Ministries and branches to continue to allocate funds to complete the road to ensure traffic safety and serve socio-economic development in Yen Thanh district./.
