Zelensky loudly declared 'heavy-handed' with Russia, Poland immediately promised to punish together
Ukraine and Poland discussed the conflict in Donbass and agreed to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
President of Ukraine Zelensky.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky after a meeting with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda in Warsaw. "We have coordinated joint steps to end the war in Donbass. Our position is that without the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, EU sanctions can only be revised in the direction of strengthening and expanding, but not reduced or lifted," the Ukrainian President said.
Polish President Andrzej Duda promised the Ukrainian leader that Warsaw would support sanctions against Russia. "We believe that the policy of sanctions should continue, because this is the most peaceful method," - President Duda said at a joint press conference with Zelensky in Warsaw today.
Andrzej Duda assured Zelensky that the Kiev leader could count on Poland when it came to "the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine".
