10 most expensive destinations in Asia Pacific
Japan is home to the most expensive cities in the Asia Pacific region, with four spots in the top five on the list.
ECA International has just released the results of a survey on the cost of living in cities in the Asia Pacific region, and ranked the 10 most expensive cities in this region.
Among them, Japan's capital Tokyo ranked first, jumping from 5th place last year. The next positions are Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka (Japan).

The 2015 champion city, Shanghai, dropped to seventh place on the list. Other locations in the top 10 were Hong Kong (China), Seoul (South Korea), Beijing (China), Singapore and Busan (South Korea).
The survey also released a list of the 20 most expensive cities in the world, with Tokyo also taking the top spot, followed by the capital Luanda (Anglola), Zurich (Germany), Geneva (Switzerland) and Yokohama (Japan).

The criteria used for assessment and ranking include: climate, health services, information openness, social networks, entertainment facilities, personal safety, infrastructure and political stability.
