Toyota's two 7-seat SUV models sold less than 10 cars, while Suzuki had 3 models participating with the Isuzu duo and Honda Accord, Ford Explorer... forming the Top 10 least-sold cars in Vietnam in October 2022.

Despite the growth in car purchasing power in October 2022, many car models on the market still achieved quite modest sales. Data compiled from the sales report of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) shows that most of the car models in the list of 10 least-selling cars in Vietnam in October 2022 are imported models of Japanese brands.

10 least sold cars in the Vietnamese market in October 2022.

Toyota and Suzuki each have 3 models, alongside the familiar duo of Isuzu and Honda Accord. The list also includes the Ford Explorer. Below are the details of the 10 least-sold cars in the Vietnamese market in October 2022:

1. Toyota Land Prado: 2 cars

With only 2 cars delivered to Vietnamese customers, Toyota Land Prado is the least sold car model in the Vietnamese market in October 2022. Compared to the previous month, Toyota Land Prado sales decreased by 12 cars. This model is currently sold for 2.588 - 2.599 billion VND.

2. Toyota Land Cruiser: 7 cars

Famous for its durability, stability, and reliability... but the high price is the barrier that makes it difficult for Toyota Land Cruiser to reach the majority of Vietnamese customers. In addition, the shortage of goods has increased the price by hundreds of millions of VND, causing Land Cruiser to achieve quite modest sales. Only 7 Toyota Land Cruiser cars were sold in Vietnam in October 2022, a decrease of 26 cars compared to September 2022.

3. Suzuki Ciaz: 8 cars

Despite dealer incentives, Suzuki Ciaz's sales results have not improved. Only 8 Ciaz cars were sold in October 2022, an increase of 1 car compared to September 2022. Suzuki Ciaz belongs to the B-class sedan segment, imported from Thailand with a selling price of 534.9 million VND.

4. Honda Accord: 14 cars

Possessing a modern and fashionable design, the business results of the new generation Honda Accord since entering the Vietnamese market since the end of 2019 have not been very positive. In October 2022, Accord sales reached 14 cars, an increase of 5 cars compared to September 2022. However, this result could not help Honda Accord escape the Top 10 least sold cars in the Vietnamese market in October 2022.

5. Suzuki Swift: 20 cars

Similar to Suzuki Ciaz, Suzuki Swift also achieved quite poor sales. Only 20 Swift cars were delivered to buyers in October 2022, down 1 car compared to September 2022. This hatchback model imported from Thailand is currently priced at 559.9 million VND and has only 1 version.

6. Suzuki Ertiga: 46 cars

The third Suzuki model on this list is the MPV - Ertiga. Although there is a hybrid version in Vietnam, the lack of breakthrough changes in design makes it difficult for Suzuki Ertiga to attract Vietnamese customers. In October 2022, only 46 cars were sold in the Vietnamese market.

7. Ford Explorer: 46 cars

Ford's most premium SUV model in the Vietnamese market achieved sales of 46 vehicles in October 2022. Compared to September 2022, Ford Explorer sales decreased by 13 vehicles. Currently, Ford Explorer is still in a state of shortage and increased selling price.

9. Isuzu mu-X: 50 vehicles

Isuzu mu-X has just entered a new generation in Vietnam with many changes. Compared to September 2022, sales of this model in October 2022 decreased by 8 cars. This model in Vietnam is currently priced from 900 million to 1.190 billion VND.

10. Isuzu D-Max: 57 vehicles

Isuzu D-Max continues to be in the Top 10 cars with the lowest sales in the Vietnamese market with sales reaching only 57 cars in September 2022, an increase of 44 cars compared to the previous month. This model has entered a new generation since last year and has an upgraded version. Currently, Isuzu D-Max in Vietnam has 4 versions with prices ranging from 640 - 870 million VND.
