100% of medical staff, patients, and relatives at Vinh General Hospital tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 21, immediately after receiving notice from Nam Dan Medical Center about patient NTH (1977) in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus, who had visited Vinh General Hospital, the hospital urgently directed the implementation of many epidemic prevention and control measures; ensuring safety for patients, their families and medical staff.
Immediately after receiving information about this case, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Vinh General Hospital urgently directed the synchronous and drastic implementation of measures: Temporarily block the Department of Internal Medicine; conduct Real Time PCR testing for all staff, service centers, patients, relatives of patients being treated at the hospital and related departments on June 21. At the same time, the hospital resolutely traced and isolated F1, F2 subjects, ... and isolated these cases according to regulations. The hospital organized disinfection spraying and environmental sanitation in all departments, rooms and campuses.

To date, the results of 908 Real Time PCR tests of Vinh General Hospital have all been negative. Of these, 640 samples were from staff and 268 samples were from patients and their families.
