11 years in prison for child molester
(Baonghean.vn)-On the morning of December 14, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened a first-instance criminal trial of Nguyen Van Sy (born in 1991), residing in Nghi Cong commune (Nghi Loc district) for child rape.

Before that, at about 4:00 p.m. on July 22, 2015, Nguyen Van Sy went from Dai Hue mountain to his house in hamlet 5, Nghi Cong commune, Nghi Loc district. When Sy went to Ong Moc waterfall in hamlet 3, Nghi Cong Nam commune, he saw NTTN (born 2002) using a sickle to dig pennywort alone. Looking around and seeing no one around, Sy had sexual intercourse with N. When Nguyen Van Sy raped N, she was only 12 years, 10 months, and 7 days old.
At court, defendant Sy admitted all his crimes. The panel sentenced Nguyen Van Sy to 11 years in prison for child rape.
