12 people died after a passenger bus collided with a tanker truck
This morning, a tanker truck collided with a 16-seat passenger bus on Highway 4D in Tam Duong town, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province, killing 12 people and injuring 3.
At around 9:30 a.m. on September 15, a tragic accident occurred on National Highway 4D in Tam Duong town, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province between a tanker truck and a 16-seat car.

Previously, the passenger bus was traveling from Lai Chau city to Than Uyen district. When the bus reached a slope on Highway 4D in Tam Duong town, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province, it suddenly collided with a tanker truck traveling in the same direction. The collision caused both vehicles to plunge into the stream.
Colonel Bui Gia Luot - Deputy Director of Lai Chau Provincial Police said he was present at the scene to directly direct the handling of the incident.
According to Mr. Do Ngoc An, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, by 11:30 a.m. the same day, 12 people had died, including the driver of the 16-seat vehicle. 3 injured victims (including children) were taken to Lai Chau City Hospital for emergency treatment.
