121 martial artists participate in the 2017 Nghe An Open Traditional Martial Arts Championship

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 27, the Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the Nghe An Martial Arts Federation to organize the 1st Nghe An Open Traditional Martial Arts Championship 2017.

The tournament had the participation of 18 delegations with 121 athletes competing in 20 men's and women's combat events. With the spirit of sportsmanship, solidarity, honesty, nobility and determination to achieve high results, the athletes competed with all their might, contributing to beautiful matches, attracting a large audience to watch and cheer.

With the aim of restoring the practice movement of martial arts, especially traditional martial arts, thereby evaluating the practice movement of traditional arts in districts, cities and towns.

The tournament also aims to select outstanding athletes for the provincial team, and at the same time continue to promote and mobilize cadres and people to effectively implement the movement "All people exercise following Uncle Ho's example".

The 2017 Nghe An Open Traditional Martial Arts Championship takes place over 3 days from May 26 to 28.
