18 contestants compete in Nghe An province's vocational skills competition
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An province's vocational skills competition was held for 3 days, with the main purpose of selecting high-quality teams to compete at national and regional levels.
On the morning of June 28, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held the opening ceremony of the 2017 provincial vocational skills competition. Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, representatives of relevant departments and branches, and teachers and students of 10 vocational schools in the province.

According to Mr. Dang Cao Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs - Head of the exam organizing committee, this is a competition held every two years. "The purpose is to honor the young, highly skilled workforce. Thereby promoting the emulation movement to study and practice skills while encouraging teachers and students to promote their creativity," said Mr. Thang.

This exam has 18 candidates from 10 vocational training institutions in the area. Before entering this exam, the 18 candidates have also passed many competitions at the grassroots level. The exam will take place in 3 days, from June 28 to June 30 with 6 subjects: welding, automotive technology, electrical installation, refrigeration, cooking and fashion technology.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Bang Toan - Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs requested the Organizing Committee to work seriously, fairly and objectively to find worthy candidates.
“This is not only a competition for students, but also an opportunity for teachers to research, supplement and innovate teaching methods. Improve the quality of training a team of skilled workers to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization of the country as well as the integration process” - Mr. Toan said, adding that the biggest goal of the competition is to select high-achieving candidates to be included in the team to participate in the national vocational competition in 2018 and towards regional and world competitions./.
