Postponement of announcement of 2025 university admission scores: How long do candidates need to wait?
The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced that the announcement of university admission scores for 2025 will be postponed to 5:00 p.m. on August 22, after 10 rounds of virtual filtering, instead of the previous plan.
Ministry of Education and Training issued a new announcement
On August 20, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Notice No. 4898/BGDĐT-GDĐH on adjusting the virtual selection and screening plan for 2025. This document is sent to all universities, academies, colleges and officer training facilities.

According to the adjusted plan, the announcement time of the first round of benchmark scores will be postponed to5:00 p.m. August 22, 2025The reason is that the number of candidates registering for admission this year is higher, leading to great pressure on data processing and requiring more time to accurately filter out fake candidates.
Increase the number of virtual filter rounds by 10 times
Compared to the original plan, the number of virtual screening rounds was increased by 4, from 6 to 10 rounds, to limit the "virtual" situation when candidates register for many wishes at the same time.
The final virtual filtering round will end at 12:30 on August 22, 2025.
Immediately afterwards, training institutions will review, enter admission scores and announce the general results from 5:00 p.m. the same day.

During the entire virtual filtering process, training institutions (CSDT) closely coordinate with the Department of Higher Education, the Department of Vocational Education & Continuing Education, and the Department of Testing and Information Technology to process data. The Ministry also requires schools not to announce benchmark scores before completing the entire virtual filtering process.
