Couple died in truck accident

The accident occurred at 7:30 a.m. on May 22 on National Highway 46 through Van Dien commune, Nam Dan district.

At the above time, the car with license plate 36C - 036.71 was traveling in the direction of Nam Dan - Thanh Chuong. When reaching Nam Thung hamlet, Van Dien commune, it collided with a car going in the opposite direction, then continued to swerve to the left and crashed into a motorbike with license plate 37K4 - 0160 driven by a man, causing this person to be thrown onto the road and break his arm.

Not stopping there, the car with license plate 36C - 036.71 crashed into another motorbike with license plate 37V3 - 0227, driven by Mr. Nguyen Khac Khoa (born in 1990), residing in Hamlet 8, Thanh Khe Commune, Thanh Chuong District, carrying his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet (born in 1993). The head-on collision caused the wife to die on the spot; the husband was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but did not survive.

It is known that Ms. Nguyet is pregnant and about to give birth. This morning, Mr. Khoa was on his way to take his wife to Nam Dan Hospital for a check-up when the accident happened.

At the scene, the first crashed motorbike was lying close to the railing with many blood stains on the road. 15m away, the second crashed motorbike was thrown off the sidewalk, the front of the motorbike and many parts were scattered.

After the accident, police were present to regulate traffic and resolve the incident.
