Ho Chi Minh City will implement social distancing according to Directive 16 from 0:00 on July 9. This move comes as the city has recorded more than 8,000 infections since the fourth outbreak on April 27, the highest in the country. Recently, the number of infections per day in the city has been continuously high, reaching thousands of cases in one day. Many cases were detected in the community through hospital screening.
In early June, Nghe An also sent 52 medical staff to Ha Tinh province to support the locality in fighting the epidemic. After completing the mission, this army returned to continue its mission when Nghe An continuously recorded cases. During this epidemic, Nghe An has 129 people infected with Covid-19.
Up to now, Nghe An has not recorded any new cases for 24 hours. Meanwhile, most of the recently recorded cases have been quarantined in advance. To control the epidemic, for nearly a month, medical staff have had to quickly collect samples for testing. On average, 1,000 - 2,000 samples are collected each day, and on peak days, the whole province collects more than 10,000 samples for Covid-19 testing./.
