Publisher Simon & Schuster revealed on Amazon that the content of the letters in which North Korean leader Kim Jong-un commented "the relationship between the two leaders seemed to come out of a 'fantasy movie', when the two leaders danced an unusual diplomatic dance together".

The book, titled Rage, is scheduled to hit shelves on September 15. It is the sequel to Fear.

Previously, "Fear" was released in September 2018 and was on the list of best-selling books in the US. The book revealed remarkable contents about President Trump's relationship with officials in the US government, gathering hundreds of interviews with people working in the government at that time.

Veteran Washington Post journalist Woodward, 77, made his name with reporter Carl Bernstein in the early 1970s when he exposed the Watergate scandal that forced Richard Nixon to resign as president.

Mr. Woodward did not directly interview President Trump for Fear – a work that the US President called “fiction” by “a liar” with “false sources.” However, the US President revealed that the two sides had spoken in January and asked other senior aides to cooperate.

"I was interviewed by a very, very good author, reporter. I would say Bob Woodward. He said he was working on something and this time I said, 'Maybe I'll sit down and talk,'" President Trump said.

President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un have met three times, starting with a landmark summit in Singapore in June 2018. However, differences in approaches to the issue have meant that the two sides have made little progress in efforts to denuclearize North Korea.

A few months after the Singapore meeting, Mr Trump said his relationship with the North Korean leader was very good. "He wrote me beautiful letters, and they were great letters. We loved each other very much," Mr Trump said.

And even when nuclear negotiations between the two countries reached a deadlock, Mr. Trump still frequently "bragged" about receiving "very beautiful" and "wonderful" letters from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un./.
