3 Song Lam Nghe An players are on the official list of U22 Vietnam attending SEA Games 32
(Baonghean.vn) - At noon on April 29, coach Troussier finalized the list of 20 players attending the 32nd SEA Games. Ho Van Cuong and Dinh Xuan Tien of SLNA were on the official list for the 32nd SEA Games. In addition, goalkeeper Cao Van Binh (U19 SLNA) was retained as a backup goalkeeper.

Coach Troussier brought 24 players to Cambodia, but according to the regulations, each team is only allowed 20 players and 1 reserve player. Therefore, 3 U22 Vietnam players had to say goodbye to SEA Games 32 early and return to practice with their home clubs. The 3 eliminated players are: Giap Tuan Duong, Ngo Duc Hoang and Bui Vi Hao.
Thus, as expected, coach Troussier eliminated one player from each team. In the goalkeeper position, Cao Van Binh of Song Lam Nghe An was retained as a backup goalkeeper.
According to the finalized list, defender Ho Van Cuong and midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien of Song Lam Nghe An will be the players selected to attend this SEA Games.

Dinh Xuan Tien and Ho Van Cuong are only 20 years old but have quickly affirmed their talent. These two players often play for Song Lam Nghe An to compete in V.League 2023. Notably, in the 7th round of V.League, Dinh Xuan Tien scored his first goal this season.
During their time training with U22 Vietnam, both players have successfully completed the training programs of coach Troussier. The two strikers of Song Lam Nghe An have also shown their ability to adapt to many positions on the field, which is one of the reasons why the U22 Vietnam coach decided to keep these two young stars.
On the afternoon of April 30, U22 Vietnam will have its opening match against Laos.
