3 students ate poison ivy and committed suicide

Staff of the Military-Civilian Medical Clinic of National Defense Economic Group 4, Na Ngoi Commune, Ky Son District said that at around 6:00 p.m. on March 2, 2022, the Clinic received 3 students including XYL, born in 2009; XYR, born in 2009, both residing in Na Cang village; MYR, born in 2009, residing in Keo Bac village, Na Ngoi commune, who were poisoned by aconite.

Doctor Nguyen Quang Minh said that at the time of admission, the children were in a state of drowsiness, unconsciousness, rapid but small and difficult to detect pulse, difficult to measure blood pressure, and their lives were in danger.

To save the students, the infirmary doctors performed emergency gastric lavage, cardiac support, respiratory support, and intravenous detoxification. “Of the three students, two were severely poisoned and one was less severely poisoned. Fortunately, they were discovered by local residents and taken to the emergency room in time,” said Dr. Minh.

As of March 3, the health of all three children has improved and is out of danger. They are continuing to be monitored and treated.

It is known that the reason for the foolish action was because on the way home from school, a conflict arose between groups of friends.
