For the third consecutive year, nearly half of the total number of provinces, cities, ministries, economic groups, and state-owned corporations reporting to the Anti-Corruption Department (Government Inspectorate) confirmed that they had not detected any cases of giving gifts for the 2018 Lunar New Year in violation of regulations.

Accordingly, nearly half of the total number of localities nationwide and ministries, branches, corporations and economic groups reported that "no cases" of illegal gift giving or receiving of 2018 Lunar New Year gifts were detected.
“By the end of this week, we will have compiled all reports from localities, ministries, corporations, and general companies nationwide. However, so far, we can see that this year, the implementation of instructions on giving and receiving Tet gifts has been better than before,” said a representative of the Anti-Corruption Department.

Up to now, this agency has received over 50 calls reflecting on the illegal giving of gifts for the Lunar New Year 2018 and has classified and transferred some of the reflections to local leaders and relevant sectors for inspection and clarification.
