Quy Hop 3 High School is the first school to have a case of dengue fever. Currently, along with preparations for the new school year, the school's Board of Directors has specific and proactive plans and measures to promptly prevent the epidemic for teachers and students.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Dat - Principal of Quy Hop 3 High School said: "The school has focused on doing a good job of extensive propaganda for teachers and students; organizing general cleaning, spraying insecticide to kill mosquitoes and larvae, and mobilizing students to go home and propagate measures to prevent dengue fever to their families."
Quy Hop mountainous district has a large forest area, many streams, and a humid microclimate, so the rainy season is very favorable for mosquitoes to develop and outbreaks of diseases, especially malaria and dengue fever. Therefore, preventing and fighting dengue fever in remote communes will be very difficult.

Following the recommendations of the government and relevant agencies, many families have proactively cleared bushes around their homes, covered water jars, and cleared drains and places with stagnant water to prevent mosquitoes from hiding and laying eggs. Many households have moved livestock and poultry farms away from their homes to ensure a clean environment, protect health, and prevent disease.
The district health center has organized meetings and professional training for medical staff of communes and towns and nurses in hamlets and villages; fully prepared human resources, medicine, supplies and chemicals to be ready to respond to and contain epidemics when they occur.
“The district health center has advised the district People's Committee on a plan to deploy measures to prevent dengue fever in 21 communes, towns, and departments and organizations. Four patients with the disease have been isolated to avoid spreading the disease,” said Dr. Pham Dinh Luyen, Deputy Director of the Quy Hop District Health Center./.
