4 'breakthrough' stages in Do Luong

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to concretize the Resolution of the 20th District Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020, the Standing Committee of Do Luong District Party Committee deployed 4 key breakthroughs.: Call for investment in construction projects; develop the livestock industry in the direction of industry, semi-industry, and farms; promote vocational training and develop craft villages, link labor export; focus on leadership and direction in building new rural areas.

The first breakthrough that the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has a policy and the District People's Committee has implemented is to call for investment in construction projects such as: Garment factory project, leather shoe processing factory in the industrial cluster in Thuong Son commune; investment project to build a National Highway 7 commercial center with a scale of 8.7 hectares; project to build a shopping supermarket and plan and call for investment in a central swimming pool park in Dong Son commune.

Lac Son Industrial Cluster (Do Luong) has created jobs for more than 4,000 local workers.

Along with that, we focus on leading and directing the development of livestock farming in the direction of industry, semi-industrial, and farms. Up to now, the total herd of buffalo and cows in the district is over 45,000, the total herd of pigs is 112,400, and the total herd of poultry is 1,581,500,000. The whole district has built 90 farms, 176 households with many different types, including 34 livestock farms.

The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has also focused on maintaining and developing craft villages and creating jobs for local workers. Up to now, many craft villages have been recognized and developed in the district, bringing high income and creating jobs for hundreds of workers such as: Vinh Phuc peanut candy and rice paper craft village - Do Luong town; Van Minh carpentry village, Thai Son commune; Typically, Trung Hau carpentry village, hamlet 14, Tan Son commune has 54/94 households engaged in carpentry, 90 workers participating. With diverse and rich products, many items bring high economic value, are favored by the market and consumed in many provinces across the country; production value of 30 billion VND per year.

Vocational training and labor export linkages have received attention. The District Party Committee has issued a plan for vocational training, job creation, and labor export for the period 2016 - 2020. Thanks to that, in 2015, 1,500 people were exported, in the first 6 months of 2016, jobs were created for 1,800 people, and 734 people were exported.

To effectively implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the District Party Committee has mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system. In the first 6 months of 2016, the district organized a ceremony to receive new rural status for 3 communes: Van Son, Yen Son, Hoa Son...; focused on leading and directing 8 communes to register to reach the new rural standard in 2016 including: Lac Son, Boi Son, Trang Son, Xuan Son, Luu Son, Dang Son, Dong Son, Trung Son; provided 6,000 tons of cement from the district budget and 4,600 tons of cement provided by the province to support communes in building rural roads.

Up to now, the whole district has increased 18 new rural criteria compared to 2015, bringing the total number of criteria in the district to 404. The whole district mobilized 224,415 million VND for new rural construction, of which the state budget capital was 161,893 million VND, and enterprises invested 2,900 million VND.

In the first 6 months of the year, the total production value is estimated at 6,274.45 billion VND, up 16.86% over the same period last year. Of which, the production value of agriculture - forestry - fishery reached 1,568.45 billion VND, up 12.38% over the same period; industry - basic construction reached 2,237.71 billion VND, up 19.05% over the same period; trade - services reached 2,468.29 billion VND, up 17.88% over the same period.

Mr. Truong Hong Phuc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee said: “In the coming time, the Do Luong District Party Committee will focus on leading and directing the completion of calling for investors to promptly implement projects in the area. Promote the propaganda of the national target program on new rural construction in the district, maximize exploitation, integration and effective use of capital sources for rural infrastructure construction. Create favorable conditions for each poor and near-poor household to access science and technology, borrow capital to invest in production, business, and build models to escape poverty sustainably”.
