Among them, 4 people ran for office (out of a total of 25 people), including Mr. Tran Quang Thang - Director of the City Institute of Economic Management.Ho Chi Minh; Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen - worker, Head of the production workshop of Cau Tre Company's food processing factory; Lawyer Ha Hai - Head of Ha Hai and Associates Law Office; Mr. Le Nguyen Minh Quang - General Director of Bachy Soletanche Vietnam Company.

At the conference, a delegate suggested considering the case of Mr. Nguyen Cu - Secretary of Hoc Mon District Party Committee to run for the City People's Council for the 2016-2021 term, because there was public opinion that Mr. Cu caused disunity in the workplace. However,The representative of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee explained that the case of Mr. Nguyen Cu, after verification, only had issues of lack of consensus in leadership, direction, and administration, including issues of land management in the locality. As for the issue of causing disunity in the workplace, there was no basis.
