430 meals of 'loving meals' for Yen Thanh women

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 27, the Women's Union of Yen Thanh district (Nghe An) coordinated with the Women's Union of 8 communes in the central area of ​​the district to organize a loving meal with 430 free meals and porridge for patients being treated at the district General Hospital on the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day.

Promoting the tradition of loving others as oneself, the spirit of mutual love of each cadre and member towards patients, especially patients with difficult circumstances being treated at the District General Hospital, Yen Thanh Women's Union launched the program "Loving Meal".

This activity was enthusiastically responded by many women. Accordingly, women in the communes mobilized organizations and individuals to support cash and essential foods worth a total of 10 million 750 thousand VND to organize cooking and distributing free rice and porridge to patients.

The loving meal was partly shared with patients being treated at Yen Thanh General Hospital.

430 meals of rice and porridge, each worth 25,000 VND, with full nutrition such as meat, eggs, ham, tofu, green vegetables, tubers... were delivered directly to the patients.

This is a practical activity, deeply humane, showing the sympathy and sharing of women with the sick and the ill, encouraging them to recover soon to reunite with their families. It is known that this activity will be maintained by the Yen Thanh Women's Union in the coming time, in order to contribute to the life and health of the community.
