45% of American voters lean toward Trump because they think he can manage the economy better than Biden.
The latest poll shows that American voters are leaning towards the candidate they feel is better able to manage the economy, with 44% backing Mr. Biden and 45% choosing Mr. Trump. However, according to the poll, Democratic candidate Joe Biden has a 10-point lead over President Donald Trump nationally.

A CBS News-YouGov poll released on September 6 found that more than half of voters (52%) said they would vote for Mr. Biden and 42% said they would support Mr. Trump. The survey also found that 3% of voters were undecided and 3% said they would vote for someone else.
According to The Hill, 49% of supporters of the former US Vice President said they voted for Mr. Biden in the November election to oppose Mr. Trump and 32% of voters chose Mr. Biden because of their affection for him.
Meanwhile, 73% of voters who support the incumbent President said they voted for Mr. Trump because they liked him, and only 18% said their choice was to oppose Mr. Biden.
The poll also found that voters leaned toward the candidate they felt would handle the economy better, with 44% backing Mr. Biden and 45% choosing Mr. Trump.
Half of voters surveyed think the former Vice President would handle the Covid-19 pandemic better, while 38% of voters trust President Trump's abilities.
When asked which candidate could ensure a safe Covid-19 vaccine would be available in the US, 47% of voters chose Mr. Biden and 34% chose Mr. Trump.
48% of voters in the latest poll said Mr. Biden is the person they feel more confident in the race to develop a safe Covid-19 vaccine, while 43% of voters put their trust in President Trump.
The poll surveyed 2,493 voters nationwide from September 2-4 with a margin of error of 2.4 points./.
