In 5 years, Nghe An has granted more than 181,000 square meters of land for religious activities.
(Baonghean.vn) - From 2012 to 2017, Nghe An approved the establishment of 37 facilities including 17 parishes, 18 sub-families and 2 religious establishments.
On the afternoon of October 12, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a press conference to inform about the plan to organize the 7th Congress of Catholics for National Construction and Protection, term 2017 - 2022 and the plan to promote the congress. Comrade Tran Thi Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired.
Attending the meeting were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and local press agencies.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee announced the plan to organize the congress. Accordingly, the congress will take place in 2 days, October 18-19. There will be 160 representatives of Catholics who are typical in the movement to build and protect the Fatherland in the past 5 years attending; it is expected to elect the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee and the Standing Committee.
In addition, the representative of the Fatherland Front informed about the results of resolving the legitimate and legal religious needs of the Catholic community in Nghe An province.
