Currently, Hanoi National University has submitted 3 proposals: Building an interactive online map of tourism and culture in Vinh city and surrounding areas, Nghe An province; Building a start-up training model associated with tourism development for youth and women in Nghe An province; Researching and developing a new generation of distance learning systems for high schools and middle schools in mountainous areas of Nghe An province.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh said that the cooperation with Hanoi National University is very meaningful for Nghe An province at present. Based on the principle of mutual benefit, he hoped that in the coming time, both sides will look at each cooperation program to have effective coordination.

Exciting Mid-Autumn Festival 2016

On the evening of September 11, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Hoa Sen Group and Ho Chi Minh City Police Newspaper to organize the program "Warm Vietnamese Family - Mid-Autumn Festival 2016".

This is the first time the program “Vietnamese Family Home - Mid-Autumn Festival” has been held in Nghe An. The program aims to exchange and connect children in special circumstances (children in SOS villages, protection centers, schools for disabled children, poor students overcoming difficulties) in the two provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.

Also on this occasion, on the evening of September 15, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district organized the "Mid-Autumn Festival connecting love" for children in Nghi Hoa commune (Nghi Loc).

Nghi Hoa Commune currently has nearly half of the children being Catholics; many of them come from difficult family circumstances. During the past school year, the children have made great efforts in studying, cultivating, training, and actively participating in helping their families and friends.

At the festival, comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented 30 gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to children of Nghi Hoa commune.

Suffocation incident in Ninh Hiep: 2 dead, 3 injured, all from Nghe An

In the early morning of September 17, in Ninh Hiep commune (Gia Lam district, Hanoi), there was an incident of suffocation due to turning on a generator to sleep, causing 3 deaths and 3 others to be hospitalized. Of these, 2 people died and 3 were injured, all from Canh Son hamlet, Duc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

The two deceased victims were identified as brothers Bui Van Giap (22 years old) and Bui Van Hoang (17 years old). The three victims in critical condition are Luu Thi Nhung (born 2000), Tran Van Sang (born 1998), and Dau Thi Hang (born 1997). All of the victims came from poor families and had to drop out of school early to work.

Chicken eggs that do not break when squeezed, burn to a crisp, causing panic among people

At around 7:00 p.m. on September 17, Ms. Le Thi H. (residing in Le Loi Ward - Vinh City) took her child to eat porridge at a restaurant on Le Hong Phong Street. When she arrived, Ms. H. ordered egg porridge for her child. When the restaurant owner brought out the egg porridge, Ms. H. saw that the young chicken egg (with just formed yolk) was cut into pieces but not broken.

She picked it up to smell it and found a fishy smell. Seeing that this egg did not seem like the chicken eggs her family usually ate, Ms. H. did not let her child eat it and bought another similar egg to bring home.

The chicken eggs Ms. H. bought from the restaurant when cut and burned on fire had a burnt smell like burning rubber.

Ms. H. used a knife to cut this egg and found that the pieces of egg had the same chewy texture as coconut jelly. She held the egg and squeezed it gently, but the egg did not break into powder like usual, but instead popped in and out like rubber.

She continued to take pieces of eggs and tried to burn them on the fire. In a moment, the red pieces of eggs burned black and smelled like burnt rubber. Currently, Ms. H is very confused because she does not know whether these are fake chicken eggs made of rubber as rumored online or not.
