On the evening of August 27, Nghia Hanh Commune Police (Nghe An Province) braved the flood and rain, coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities to bring pregnant woman Nguyen Thi Hanh (37 years old), residing in Tan Lam hamlet, Nghia Hanh commune, to the hospital to safely give birth.
Previously, at around 6:30 p.m. on August 27, while performing storm and flood prevention tasks in the area,Commune policeNghia Hanh received a report from local residents about a pregnant woman living in Tan Lam hamlet, Nghia Hanh commune showing signs of labor and needing to be rushed to the hospital to ensure the safety of mother and baby.

Faced with the emergency, Nghia Hanh Commune Police quickly dispatched forces directly to the location cut off by the flood. In the conditions of torrential rain, flooded and slippery roads, the police officers coordinated with the Commune Military Command, Tan Lam Hamlet Executive Committee and local people to use support vehicles to bring the pregnant woman out of the dangerous area and promptly transfer her to An Phat Hospital (25 km from Tan Lam Hamlet).
Thanks to timely support, the mother was taken to the hospital safely. Currently, the health of both mother and baby is stable.
