Ria Novosti reported that former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yury Lutsenko said on January 7 that the Ukrainian government named the number of Ukrainians killed.
"I know that they don't want this and it will be taken seriously. It will be a shock," Mr. Lutsenko said.
According to Mr. Lutsenko, Kiev loses tens of thousands of soldiers every month. This is the reason why the Ukrainian army proposed to mobilize half a million troops.
“We must be honest that the figure of 500,000 is being mentioned a lot now. If we divide it by each month, and then we will understand approximately what is happening ahead, 30,000 - that is the number of dead and seriously injured,” Mr. Lutsenko emphasized.
