500 athletes participate in cross-country race for community health
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2019, Sacombank organized a cross-country race in 39 provinces with more than 28,000 athletes, including students, university students, and workers, participating.
On the morning of May 11, Sacombank Nghe An Branch coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Culture & Sports of Nghe An to organize the Cross-country race "Running with Sacombank for community health"
Attending the event were comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports, State Bank of Vietnam - Nghe An Branch, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.
The tournament attracted more than 500 athletes who are students from universities, colleges and staff of agencies and enterprises in Nghe An. The athletes competed in 2 distances with 4 events: 1,800m for male students from universities, colleges and male staff of agencies and enterprises; 1,200m for female students from universities, colleges and female staff of agencies and enterprises in the area.

The Cross-Country Race “Running with Sacombank for Community Health” was initiated in 2004 and is held annually nationwide to promote sports and fitness movements, and connect Sacombank and the community. In 2019, Sacombank organized the race in 39 provinces with the participation of more than 28,000 athletes, including students, students, and workers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Viet Duc - Director of Sacombank Nghe An Branch said: In recent times, in parallel with business activities based on the criteria of safety and sustainability, Sacombank has also accompanied the local community through meaningful social activities. The cross-country race "Running with Sacombank for community health" has been organized by Sacombank in Nghe An since 2009 and has also left many good impressions.
Through the program, we hope to further strengthen the relationship with the locality as well as contribute to promoting the sports competition movement for young people according to the criteria: healthy to study and practice well and to become useful people for society.

As a result, in the men's 1,800m distance, athletes Nguyen Van Canh (Vinh University) won first prize; Nguyen Van Viet (Vietnam - Korea Technical College) won second prize and Nguyen Ba Huy (Vinh University of Technical Education) won third prize.
In the 1,200m distance for women from universities and colleges, first prize went to Hoang Thi Sao Mai (Vinh University); Ka Thi Hong (Nghe An College of Education) won second prize and Hoang Thi Hanh (Vinh Medical University) won third prize.
The Organizing Committee also awarded First, Second and Third prizes to male officers and employees of agencies and enterprises in the 1,800 m distance.
Regarding the collective, the team that won the first prize was Vinh University, Nghe An College of Education won the second prize and Vinh University of Technical Education won the third prize.
