500 athletes participate in Nghe Tinh Student Sports Festival 2019

On the afternoon of April 14, at the 4th Corps Stadium, Di An Town, Binh Duong Province, the first Nghe Tinh Student Sports Festival in Ho Chi Minh City in 2019 opened.

The sports festival had 18 units participating, of which 16 units belonged to the Nghe Tinh Student Association of universities in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas, and 2 units were Nghe Tinh enterprises in the South.

The sports festival brings together about 500 athletes competing in events such as football, volleyball, badminton, chess, tug of war... football alone starts before the opening day.

The organizing committee awarded certificates to participating units.

The sports festival took place over a month, from April 14 to May 19. This was the first time the Nghe Tinh – Ho Chi Minh City Student Association organized a large-scale sports festival, while in previous years it was only organized modestly within the framework of a football tournament.

Nghe Tinh Student Sports Festival is a practical activity to celebrate the 129th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2019); at the same time, it is a useful playground, aiming to enhance communication and connection, promote the sports movement of Nghe An children studying and working in the South.

The sports festival promises to bring our fellow countrymen exciting and fun days of competition.

With the careful preparation of the organizing committee and participating units, the first Nghe Tinh Student Sports Festival in 2019 promises to bring to our fellow countrymen an exciting and enthusiastic competitive atmosphere with a noble sportsmanship spirit.
