(Baonghean.vn) - Nine-room Temple, Sao Va Waterfall, Seven-storey Waterfall, Pu Hoat Nature Reserve, Hua Na Hydroelectric Reservoir, Me Mon Cave and the district center are 7 attractive destinations exploited by the People's Committee of Que Phong District (Nghe An) to develop tourism in the period 2016 - 2020.

Nature and people have endowed Que Phong district with many historical relics and beautiful landscapes: Nine-room Temple, ancient Thai village, traditional festivals, Sao Va Waterfall, seven-story waterfall, Pu Hoat Nature Reserve, Mother Cave, Hua Na Hydroelectric Reservoir, etc. In addition, Que Phong is also a land of convergence of many ethnic groups: Kinh, Thai, Tho, Kho Mu, Mong, Tay, Nung, Muong, with many unique cultural features, rich in national identity. However, the locality has not yet exploited this potential to develop the tourism industry.

In order to promote the values ​​of natural heritage to become attractive tourist destinations, creating momentum for socio-economic development, building new rural areas, improving the lives of ethnic minorities in the district, the People's Committee of Que Phong district has built a project "preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups associated with tourism development in Que Phong district, period 2016 - 2020".

The goal by 2020 is to preserve and develop Pu Hoat World Biosphere Reserve, increase forest cover to 77%; develop tourism associated with preserving tourism resources, ecological environment, national cultural identity and scenic relics; preserve cultural values ​​of festivals and folk culture of local people.

To successfully implement the project, Que Phong district continues to expand and upgrade the motel system, striving to attract 5,000 tourists/year, creating jobs for over 60 workers.
