738 billion VND in housing support for meritorious people in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - In response to voters' petitions about the slow disbursement of housing support for people with revolutionary contributions according to Decision 22/2013 of the Prime Minister, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh said that the Ministry of Planning and Investment has announced to support Nghe An with 738 billion VND.

On the afternoon of December 4, National Assembly deputies chaired by comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province had a meeting with voters of Quynh Luu district.

At the conference, voter Le Van Tuyet - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Cau Giat town proposed to the National Assembly delegates to consider arranging a staffing level for the Party Committee office at the commune level.

Regarding the policy settlement, voters proposed implementing support payments for house building and repair for people with revolutionary contributions according to Decision 22/2013 of the Prime Minister, because currently many subjects have borrowed money in advance to build and repair houses, but have not received support money, falling into debt.

Voter Ho Chi Tung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luong commune proposed to increase the issuance of guiding documents so that the laws can be quickly implemented into life.

Voter Tung also said that, regarding each locality, the provincial National Assembly delegation needs to have solutions to respond to voters' previous petitions to the National Assembly delegates.

On behalf of the National Assembly delegates, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh responded to voters' recommendations, including the issue of arranging full-time staff for the position of the Party Committee office at the commune level. The Provincial People's Committee has decided to arrange for the Commune People's Committee to arrange an office-statistics officer to concurrently take on some additional tasks of the Party Committee office.

As for housing support for people with revolutionary contributions according to Decision 22/2013 of the Prime Minister, according to statistics, the need for support in Nghe An province is more than 800 billion VND.

Believing that this is a very legitimate proposal of voters and that on the National Assembly forum, delegates have discussed and reflected a lot, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh said that in 2017, the National Assembly approved the policy of allocating support funds for subjects nationwide according to Decision 22, but the Government has not yet allocated the source.

However, up to now, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has announced that the source of support for Nghe An is 738 billion VND and if the Government allocates the correct amount according to schedule, Nghe An will basically resolve all of it in 2018, the rest will be disbursed in 2019.

"When the support money according to Decision 22 arrives at the locality, the province will disburse it very quickly to policy families," - the Provincial Party Secretary said.

The Provincial Party Secretary also accepted voters' recommendations on issuing guiding documents so that the laws can quickly come into effect; at the same time, he said that there will be solutions to widely inform voters about the results of handling the recommendations of the provincial National Assembly delegation.

On this occasion, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh also gave an overview of the socio-economic situation in the country and the province in 2017.
