8 monkeys living disguised in chicken cages kept under a passenger bus
(Baonghean.vn) - A passenger bus transporting 8 monkeys for sale was discovered and arrested by the Traffic Police Working Group of Dien Chau Station.
On the morning of October 1, Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Sy Chinh - Head of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station (under the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province) said that the incident was carried out by the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station Working Group led by Lieutenant Colonel Cao Viet Tuan - Deputy Head of Station and 5 members on the night of September 30 on National Highway 1A.
Accordingly, at around 10:00 p.m. the same day, the above-mentioned working group was on duty at km 435, National Highway 1A, in Dien An commune, Dien Chau district, when they discovered a suspicious passenger bus 37B-019.01.

The task force immediately signaled to stop the vehicle and conduct an inspection. Upon inspection, the task force discovered two baskets of goods under the vehicle's cargo compartment. These two baskets were immediately opened and eight live monkeys were discovered.
At the time of inspection, the driver declared his name as Hoang Dinh Mau (born in 1978), residing in Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district, and claimed to have received the goods in Ha Tinh. However, when receiving the goods from the customer, he was only informed that the chickens were being sent to his hometown. Also at the time of inspection, driver Mau could not present any documents proving the origin of these 8 monkeys.
Accordingly, the Working Group made a record and handed it over to Mobile Ranger Team No. 1 for handling according to regulations.
