Nine members of the family of Omar Ismail Mostefai and Samy Amimour are being held at the headquarters of the anti-terrorism agency (SDAT) in Levallois Perret (Hauts-de-Seine). Samy Amimour's sister has been released because she is only 15 years old.

Le Monde newspaper said that investigators have identified two apartments - where the terrorists rented to prepare for the attack plan.

The first rented apartment in Bobigny was discovered on the evening of November 15 to the morning of November 16. Brahim Abdeslam rented the apartment between November 10 and 17. The apartment owner said that three men who introduced themselves as members of a Belgian security company rented the apartment.

At the scene, investigators found the phones still in their cases but no weapons. Police are continuing to analyze fingerprints.

The second apartment discovered on November 15 in Val-de-Marne, Alfortville, is where Salaf Abdeslam lived. Salaf Abdeslam is the man who rented the Polo used in the Bataclan attack and may have participated in the shootings in the X and XI districts. Currently, the Belgian court has issued a worldwide arrest warrant for Salaf Abdeslam.

The suspects

On November 16, in Belgium, police arrested and are currently holding under house arrest two men who are believed to have met Salah Abdeslam in Paris from the evening of November 13 to 14. These two men are Hamza Attou and Mohamed Amri.

At around 9am on 14 November, Salah Abdeslam, Hamza Attou and Mohamed Amri were checked as they passed through a checkpoint near Cambrai. The car driven by Mohamed Amri was allowed to pass as there was no further information about Salah Abdeslam renting the Polo. The police then launched a manhunt.

Both men said they did not know Salah Abdeslam was involved in the attack. Investigators have questioned the veracity of their statements, especially Mohamed Amri. Police suspect he was involved in making explosives.

On the morning of November 16, Salah Abdeslam's third brother was released by Belgian police. In an interview, Mohamed Abdeslam assured that he had no knowledge of his two younger brothers' plans.

In France, the Interior Ministry conducted searches at 286 locations, arrested 16 people and confiscated 6 firearms.
