Just landing at the airport, many customers are offered taxi services by strange numbers or switchboards, making many people upset and wondering who is "selling" their personal information when using airline services?

Recently, many customers have reported being “harassed” by taxi services when using the airline’s aviation services. Some people were offered taxis 1-2 days before flying to Nha Trang and Da Nang.

Bộ GTVT nhận định, việc để lộ thông tin của hành khách sử dụng dịch vụ hàng là có vấn đề, yêu cầu Cục Hàng không Việt Nam xác minh làm rõ, xử lý theo quy định.
The Ministry of Transport stated that the disclosure of information of passengers using air services is problematic and requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to verify, clarify, and handle the matter according to regulations.

Regarding this issue, Vietnam Airlines denies proactively disclosing passenger information and affirms that disclosing information to the outside does not benefit the airline but only causes more trouble for the airline and the customers they serve.

In response to customer complaints, Vietnam Airlines has implemented many measures, from reviewing the network security system, aviation security to internal investigations and sending official dispatches to request professional assistance from the police. In particular, the airline provides the police with information about passenger complaints that it receives, flight information, phone numbers for car rides, messages from taxi companies, etc.

According to a representative of another airline, customer information such as email and phone number can be accessed by many departments, not just through the airline, such as ticket offices, ticket agents, ground services at the airport, etc. Airlines all have regulations for strict handling if any case of passenger information disclosure is discovered.

Vietjet also confirmed strict management and no employees or partners have the right to access customer information, and related partners must sign confidentiality agreements and only know their information for work purposes.

The representative of the Ministry of Transport also stated that the disclosure of information of passengers using air services is problematic and requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to verify, clarify, and handle it according to regulations.
