Each commune and town union helped one family, each high school and continuing education center union helped two families, and the affiliated union block helped seven families. In each locality, the grassroots union organization selected typical situations to help.

After a morning of hard work, the Tet atmosphere at the most difficult family in the block became warmer and more thoughtful. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, block 10, a difficult family in town, emotionally said: “Since Mr. Huong passed away, my family, which was already poor, has become even more miserable. This Tet, if there were no care and help from departments, organizations, and everyone, my family would have no Tet. Thank you for the hearts and feelings of all the youth in the district.”
In some communes, the Youth Union pays special attention to poor policy families. Besides visiting, giving gifts, decorating altars, Youth Union members also repair houses. Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan's family in Thanh My commune (Mr. Hoan's father was a martyr in the period 1930-1931) has been living in a dilapidated, leaky house for a long time. On this occasion, the Thanh My commune Youth Union re-roofed the house so that his family could celebrate Tet with peace of mind.
In Thanh Duong commune, besides organizing fundraising activities, giving gifts to poor families in general, free haircuts for students, they also care for lonely elderly people such as the families of Nguyen Thi Vien (96 years old), Nguyen Thi Huynh (91 years old) - mothers of martyrs...
