Of her 18 years of work, 17 of them have been assigned to train excellent students in Civic Education. Although she does not have the same advantages as many other subjects, when taking on this job, Ms. Oanh always believes that "if teachers want students to follow them, they must instill love in their students."

Nurturing that love begins with the main lessons in class. To create interest for students, teacher Nguyen Thi Oanh always tries to innovate teaching methods. In particular, she focuses on exploiting learning materials on platforms, applying videos, life lessons with many meaningful messages to enrich the lessons.

With love for the profession, dedication and responsibility, 17 years of "commanding" the Civic Education team is also the same number of years that teacher Nguyen Thi Oanh has brought achievements to Nguyen Trai Secondary School.

In the past 5 years alone, the school has had 2 students who passed the exam as valedictorians and the team has continuously held the first and second positions in the province. In the 2024-2025 school year, the school had 3 students taking the exam, 2 students won first prize, 1 student won second prize.

In the process of accompanying students, in addition to some experiences such as building a "team diary" to be able to adjust students through each week and each month, Ms. Oanh believes that teachers also have to constantly practice their abilities, master the method of setting questions, building answers and approaching new problems. Teachers are not only the ones who impart knowledge, but also have to be friends to listen, share and guide students...

Taking on the task of nurturing gifted students, teacher Tran Ho Ly - Vice Principal of Nguyen Trai Secondary School is also a special teacher. Although she has been in charge of leadership for nearly 20 years, she has never stopped being a key teacher in nurturing the gifted Literature student team of the school and the district. She herself often teaches 9th grade students, willing to teach extra periods and extra sessions to accompany her students.

Previously, teacher Tran Ho Ly was recognized as an excellent teacher of the province three times and was the only teacher of the school to be awarded the title of Excellent Teacher in the past term.

When asked about these special slogans by the school principal, Mr. Nguyen Canh Hung shared: Since I started teaching, I have found that the role of a teacher is very important, able to spread and shape the personality of students. At our school, we are currently building a happy school model with 3 criteria: Unity, love and respect; in which, we determine that love is the most important thing. Teachers must have a heart that loves their students, have enough tolerance to forgive their mistakes, respect their differences, look at the positive side to promote, and recognize limitations to overcome. If teachers have love, they will influence their students.

With that simple yet profound philosophy, over the years, with the spirit of solidarity and dedication, the collective of Nguyen Trai Secondary School has constantly strived to achieve many outstanding achievements. Currently, the school is one of the 9 key high-quality schools of the province and for many consecutive years has been in the top of the province in terms of results in excellent student exams and admission to grade 10.

Along with that, dozens of students won prizes at the "playgrounds" of ministries and branches: 8 prizes at the "Traffic Safety for Tomorrow's Smiles" contest, 22 prizes at the "Reading Culture Ambassador" contest, Young Informatics and Phu Dong Sports Festival at provincial and national levels... For 5 consecutive years, the school achieved the title of Excellent Labor Collective at the provincial level, and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee twice.

Talking about the school's operations, Principal Nguyen Canh Hung also said that the school currently has 22 classes with more than 900 students. Although it is called a key school, the school is currently performing two tasks: both popularizing and educating the masses, and taking care of the key education of the commune.

In recent years, although the local government has created many favorable conditions for facilities and teaching equipment, the school is still facing difficulties in terms of lack of teachers, uneven quality of students, and teaching conditions that do not meet the teaching requirements of the 2018 General Education Program. Overcoming these obstacles, the school community has always united to continue the tradition of emulation in good teaching and good learning; turning love into concrete actions.
