(Baonghean.vn) - That is part of the content of the conference program summarizing the plan to coordinate education, vocational training and help prisoners reintegrate into the community in the period 2015 - 2020 at Prison No. 6.

On the morning of July 14, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Women's Union and Prison No. 6 (Department C10) held a conference to review the coordination plan in education, vocational training and helping prisoners reintegrate into the community for the period 2015 - 2020.

Prison No. 6 is stationed in the two communes of Hanh Lam and Thanh My in Thanh Chuong district. The unit is currently managing more than 3,000 prisoners, including female prisoners, prisoners who commit crimes against national security, related to national security, prisoners under 18 years old... In particular, there are 915 prisoners of young age (29.3%).

Prison education is a special activity that demonstrates the humanity of our Party and State. Therefore, the joint coordination between agencies, departments and sectors in the whole society to create positive and comprehensive changes for each prisoner is very necessary.

Over the past 5 years, Prison No. 6 has coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Women's Union to carry out many meaningful educational programs and activities with profound humanity, such as: the program "Lighting up dreams for a bright tomorrow"; organizing a contest to learn about the constitution and law; providing free medical examinations and medicine, legal advice, cultural and artistic exchanges; organizing career guidance and job introductions; propagating and educating to raise awareness, training the moral qualities of "confidence, self-respect, honesty, responsibility" for female prisoners; opening training classes to improve reporting skills and propaganda skills for officers in charge of managing and educating female prisoners...

These activities have brought great spiritual value in creating positive changes in awareness and actions for prisoners during the sentence execution process; contributing to eliminating prisoners' inferiority complex, creating a healthy and friendly educational and reform environment; equipping prisoners with social knowledge, life skills... Thereby motivating and encouraging prisoners to work with peace of mind, strive to reform well to soon return to reintegrate into the community.

At the Conference, the parties also discussed and frankly pointed out the limitations, shortcomings, causes and remedies in the coordination plan between the units in the coming time.

On this occasion, implementing the program "Lighting up the dream of rehabilitation", the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Women's Union presented 30 gifts to female prisoners who are raising young children, male and female prisoners with many achievements in reform and study at Prison No. 6, to encourage and motivate them to strive to reform well and soon reintegrate into the community.
