Life sentence for female monster who specializes in spreading 'white death'
(Baonghean.vn) - Despite having many previous convictions related to drugs, Tran Le My and Nguyen Thi Hao still continue to participate in spreading “white death”. This time, My has sold drugs many times to a woman named Huong in Hanoi for a large sum of money.
Order drugs from Laos to sell for profit
On July 26, Nghe An Provincial People's Court continued to bring two defendants Tran Le My (born in 1976), residing in Hong Son Ward (Vinh City) to trial for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking" and Nguyen Thi Hao (born in 1982), residing in Thanh Hoa City (Thanh Hoa) for the crime of "Illegal possession of drugs".
Previously, the court had brought these two defendants to trial twice. In previous trials, the panel of judges found it necessary to clarify the role and responsibility of the woman named Huong - who ordered the drugs from the US - in this case, so they decided to return the case file for further investigation.

According to the investigation agency's documents: On November 15, 2018, My received a call from a woman named Huong in Hanoi to order 50 packages of pink drugs for 5 million VND/package. My agreed. After that, Huong transferred 250 million VND to My's bank account.
To have the “goods” delivered to customers, My contacted a man in Laos named Tung to buy 50 packages of opium. But this person informed that he only had 30 packages and was selling them for 3.5 million VND/package. My then transferred 105 million VND to Tung to carry out the purchase of the “goods”.
On November 26, 2018, My packed 30 packages of drugs in an orange box and sent them by bus to Hanoi for Huong for 150 million VND. A day later, Huong continued to order from My 2 heroin cakes for 160 million VND/cake, 40 pink packages (priced at 5 million VND/package), 1 kg of crystal meth for 280 million VND.
Also on November 27, 2018, Nguyen Thi Hao called My to buy 20 million VND of ketamine. My agreed. At this time, My continued to call Tung to order 2 more heroin cakes, 1 kg of crystal meth, 40 packages of pink meth, 500 grams of ketamine for a total of 700 million VND. On November 28, 2018, My sent a passenger bus to Tung in Laos for 490 million VND, and promised to pay the remaining amount later.
At 12:00 on November 30, 2018, Tung sent someone to bring a motorbike to the gate of his house and gave My a backpack containing drugs. My hid the drugs in the bedroom. Then, My called Hao and asked, "Do you have 3 ounces of ketamine worth 90 million VND?". Hao asked for a debt extension, and My agreed. At 3:30 p.m. the same day, Hao took a bus from Thanh Hoa City to Vinh City to My's house to get the drugs.
After receiving the drugs, Hao walked to catch a bus home. However, when he reached Vinh market intersection in Hong Son ward, he was arrested by the Vinh City Police task force, and the evidence confiscated was 298.685 grams of ketamine.
Conducting an emergency search of Tran Le My, authorities seized 66.41 grams of ketamine, 889.215 grams of methamphetamine, 805.415 grams of methamphetamine (tablet form), and 705.6 grams of heroin.
The price to pay
At the trial, My initially changed his testimony, claiming that he did not buy or sell drugs with a woman named Huong. However, My later bowed his head and admitted all his crimes. At the same time, he asked for a lighter sentence so that he could return home to start a new life and take care of his elderly mother.
Defendant Hao confessed honestly and admitted all his crimes.

It is known that both defendants have many criminal records. In 2003, My was sentenced to 8 years for "Illegal drug trafficking". Meanwhile, Hao has 3 previous convictions for the same crime.
At this trial, the investigation agency determined that the woman named Huong was not present in the area at the time of the investigation. She also did not report to the local authorities where she was going or what she was doing, so the authorities have not been able to find Huong. When she is found, they will proceed with the case.
The panel of judges determined that the defendants’ actions were dangerous to society. The defendants all had previous convictions related to drugs but did not take that as a lesson for themselves.
Considering the case as a whole, the panel sentenced Tran Le My to life in prison for "Illegal drug trafficking" and Nguyen Thi Hao to 12 years in prison for "Illegal possession of drugs".
