The joint exercise will be conducted in two phases, with the first phase being held onshore at Saxebo, Japan, from June 10 to 13 and off the coast of Okinawa from June 14 to 17. The exercise will focus on anti-submarine warfare, sea lane interdiction operations, and air defense training to enhance interoperability and ensure common maritime security interests. The Indian Navy will send four ships to participate in the exercise.

The US Navy sent an aircraft carrier, an aircraft cruiser, three guided-missile destroyers, a P-8A Poseidon surveillance aircraft and a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine. Meanwhile, the Japanese Navy sent its new Hyug aircraft carrier fleet, patrol aircraft, new-generation helicopters such as the P-3C Orion and US-2i ShinMaywa seaplanes.
