Burial of martyrs' remains after more than 40 years of searching
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 26, Thanh Tien commune, Thanh Chuong district solemnly held a burial ceremony for the remains of martyr Duong Le Duong - a son of the homeland, who sacrificed his life in the resistance war against America.

Martyr Duong Le Duong was born on June 20, 1950 in Hamlet 5, Thanh Tien Commune, with the rank of Private, position of soldier, belonging to the Armored Officer School unit, and died on May 27, 1972 in Cam Lo, Quang Tri.
After more than 40 years of searching, in mid-July 2018, the martyrs' remains collection team, Division 968 - Military Region 4 discovered the martyr's grave in Nghia Hy quarter, Cam Lo town along with 11 other martyrs' graves.

Following the wishes of the martyr's family to bring the martyr's remains back to his hometown for burial, after holding a memorial service at Cam Lo cemetery, Division 968 sent officers and vehicles to transport the remains of martyr Duong Le Duong from Quang Tri to Nghe An on the afternoon of July 25.
On the morning of July 26, local authorities coordinated with the family to solemnly hold the funeral of martyr Duong Le Duong at his hometown cemetery.
