Death sentence for the man transporting 20 heroin cakes
Promised to be paid 20 million VND, Senh immediately agreed to transport drugs for hire. However, this young man did not have the opportunity to spend that money…
On March 15, the Hanoi People's Court decided to remove Giang A Senh (born in 1997, residing in Hang Kin commune, Mai Chau, Hoa Binh) from society for the crime of "Illegal transportation of drugs".
Opening the court, the first instance panel clarified that in mid-October 2017, Giang A Senh accidentally met a man he did not know at an address in Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh. Through conversation, this strange man hired Senh to transport 20 heroin cakes to My Dinh bus station (Hanoi) for a fee of 20 million VND.

Wanting to get the above mentioned large sum of money, Senh immediately accepted. After that, the stranger gave Senh the phone number of the person who would receive the drugs in Hanoi. Transporting the contraband, on the afternoon of October 19, 2017, Senh received a backpack containing 20 heroin cakes inside, then took a bus to Hanoi.
At around 9:15 p.m. the same day, Senh appeared at My Dinh Bus Station (Nam Tu Liem District) and while he was waiting for someone to contact him to trade drugs, he was discovered and caught red-handed by the police. According to the assessment, the total weight of heroin Senh transported was more than 7 kg.
Brought to trial, the defendant confessed to the crime as stated in the indictment. And after determining that Giang A Senh's actions were particularly dangerous to society because he had transported an exceptionally large amount of heroin, the Hanoi People's Court decided to sentence the defendant to death.
