Nghe An police dismantle drug trafficking ring from abroad to Vietnam
Despite using many sophisticated tricks to deal with the authorities, Dinh Quang Linh and his "henchmen" were quickly arrested by the police for illegally buying, selling and transporting drugs.
Through the investigation, Dien Chau District Police discovered a drug trafficking ring from abroad to Vietnam and then distributed it to retailers in the Central provinces led by Dinh Quang Linh (born in 1998), residing in Thanh Hoa Commune, Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Binh Province. Faced with the above situation, Dien Chau District Police established a special project to eradicate it.

During the investigation, the Task Force encountered many difficulties because Dinh Quang Linh disguised himself as a driver transporting ore to buy, sell and transport drugs.
Abroad, the subjects took advantage of the terrain with mineral mines to hide and organize the delivery of "goods"; and when returning to Vietnam, they connected and used a system of "henchmen" along the travel route to probe the police force.
In addition, the subjects also used many different types of vehicles, clearly assigned routes, Dinh Quang Linh would change vehicles for his "henchmen" as soon as he detected suspicious signs. In particular, drugs were disguised, divided into small pieces and carefully hidden by Linh among the ores on the vehicles to deal with the authorities...

After a period of investigation, using professional measures, Dien Chau District Police determined that on December 24, 2024, Dinh Quang Linh would bring a large amount of crystal meth and pink heroin from abroad to Vietnam through Cha Lo Border Gate, then bring it to the provinces for consumption.
Under the direct direction of the provincial police, Dien Chau district police mobilized 60 officers and soldiers to coordinate with related units, arrange forces to ambush and intercept the subject's route.

At about 11:00 a.m. on December 23, 2024, on National Highway 46 in Hop Binh hamlet, Khanh Hop commune, Nghi Loc district, Dien Chau district police presided over and coordinated with Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 (under the Provincial Traffic Police Department), Khanh Hop commune police (Nghi Loc) and Nghi Tan ward police (Vinh city) to arrest Dinh Quang Linh and Dang Thai Nhat (born in 1991), residing in Nghi Trung commune, Nghi Loc district, for illegally buying, selling and transporting drugs; seized 1 kg of crystal meth and 36,000 pink pills.
During the arrest, the subjects fiercely resisted and tried to turn around and run away, but the task force quickly controlled them, ensuring absolute safety for the people and the forces participating in the arrest.

At the investigation agency, Dinh Quang Linh initially gave false statements to deny his crime, however, faced with convincing evidence, the subject had to admit his crime.
From Linh's testimony, Dien Chau District Police arrested four more "henchmen" including: Nguyen Van Dung (born in 1991), residing in Dien Nguyen Commune; Nguyen Thi Nhung (born in 1993), residing in Ngoc Bich Commune, Dien Chau District; Nguyen Dinh Giao (born in 1997), residing in Duc Thanh Commune; Tran Cong Nguyen (born in 1994), residing in Do Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District; and seized 400 ecstasy pills.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Dien Chau District Police has detained 6 suspects to further investigate the case.
