Dismantling drug trafficking ring from abroad to Vietnam
A drug trafficking and illegal storage ring from abroad to Vietnam has just been dismantled by the Tuong Duong District Police, Nghe An, arresting 5 subjects.
Accordingly, through the work of grasping the situation, Tuong Duong District Police discovered that recently in Luong Minh Commune, Tuong Duong District, a group of subjects regularly colluded and connected with subjects across the border to form a network.drug traffickingfrom abroad to Vietnam

The subjects in the ring had previous convictions for drug use and were always armed with firearms to fight back against the authorities when they were arrested. Their modus operandi was to choose rugged mountainous terrain, assign strict security, and use drug addicts as “henchmen” to distribute drugs when requested by customers.
Faced with the above situation, Tuong Duong District Police have established a special project to combat and destroy this network.
By professional measures, on June 5, 2024, at Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An, Tuong Duong district police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the provincial police to successfully crack a case and arrest 5 cases and 5 subjects, including: Luong Thi Da (born in 1982), residing in Canh Toong village, Yen Tinh commune, Tuong Duong district; Lo May Sao (born in 1976), residing in Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district; Nguyen Van Thai (born in 1990) and Vi Van Cong (born in 1985), both residing in Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district and Xen Van Ngoc (born in 2002), residing in Quang Thinh village, Tam Dinh commune, Tuong Duong district for the act of "Illegal buying, selling and storing of drugs".

Confiscated evidence included 988 synthetic drug pills, 39.9 grams of heroin, 9 homemade guns, 12 knives and swords of various types, 10 cell phones, 5 motorbikes, 1 pepper spray, and the demolition of 5 shacks and camps set up by the subjects in the forest.
The case is currently being handled by Tuong Duong District Police in accordance with the law.
