Vinh City Police (Nghe An) have just dismantled a gang that illegally stored and traded drugs and illegally stored military weapons, arrested 7 subjects, seized more than 3,000 synthetic drug pills, 2 packages of crystal meth, 2 pistols and a number of other related exhibits.
Through the investigation, Vinh City Police discovered a group with suspicious signs related todrug, connecting with high-ranking subjects to commit crimes. Among them, there are subjects with criminal records related to drugs, operating with sophisticated and daring methods and tricks. The subjects take advantage of their familiarity with the terrain, often hiding in mountainous areas to operate. In particular, during transactions, the subjects always carry "hot" weapons and are ready to fight back against the authorities if discovered.

Faced with the above situation, Vinh City Police reported to the Provincial Police leadership to establish a special project, concentrate forces and means to fight and clarify. Assessing that the subjects always carry weapons such as military guns, homemade guns, knives, ready to fight back if discovered or arrested, the Special Project Board made detailed and specific plans and solutions for possible situations to ensure absolute safety for the forces participating in solving the case and the people.
On December 21, 2024, in Quan Bau ward, Vinh City Police broke up a case and arrested three subjects: Bui Van Xuyen (born in 1973), Hoang Van Hai (born in 1991), both residing in Quy Hop district, Nghe An province; Nguyen Ngoc Lam (born in 1994), residing in Nghia Binh commune, Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province for the acts of buying, selling, illegally storing drugs and illegally storing military weapons.
During the arrest, the subjects were reckless and reckless, fiercely resisting the authorities. However, with their intelligence and courage, the Task Force successfully controlled, knocked down and arrested the subjects. At the scene, the authorities seized 3,000 synthetic drug pills, 2 packages of crystal meth, 2 pistols, 3 cell phones, 1 car and some other related evidence. During the arrest, the Task Force ensured absolute safety for officers, soldiers and people.
Through the investigation and expansion of the case, at around 10:30 p.m. on December 22, 2024, Vinh City Police continued to arrest Nguyen Van Hai (born in 1972), residing in Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City; Bui Huy Hoang (born in 1997), Ho Trung Hau (born in 1995), Nguyen Van Bao (born in 1993), all residing in Nghia Dan Town, Nghia Dan District; seized 50 synthetic drug pills, 1 package of crystal meth, and 4 mobile phones. The initial investigation determined that these subjects were "henchmen" of the above subjects Xuyen, Hai, and Lam.
The case is currently being further investigated and clarified by the Vinh City Police Investigation Agency.
