Comrade Le Hong Vinh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.
On the afternoon of November 17, at the 4th Session, the People's Council of Quang Tri province, term VIII, 2021 - 2026, elected comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with 100% of delegates in favor by secret ballot.
Comrade Le Hong Vinh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to replace his predecessor, Comrade Tran Phong, due to a job transfer.
In his acceptance speech, comrade Le Hong Vinh respectfully thanked the Provincial People's Council delegates for their trust and confidence in electing him to the position of Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee.
He pledged that together with the provincial leaders and the Provincial People's Committee, they would always be united, innovative, creative, highly determined, make great efforts, and be resolute in the direction and administration work, aiming to successfully implement the three major breakthroughs set forth by the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, creating new momentum to promote the province's socio-economic development rapidly and sustainably.
In the immediate future, priority will be given to directing the implementation of the completion and surpassing of socio-economic development goals and targets for 2025; urgently concretizing and comprehensively implementing the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province emphasized that he will continue to be dedicated, devoted, and make every effort, promoting the spirit of solidarity and cooperation to complete all assigned tasks, to show gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who heroically fell on the land of Quang Tri for the peace, independence and freedom of the nation, and to achieve and exceed the socio-economic development goals, bringing prosperity and development to the province in the near future.
Previously, on the same morning, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a ceremony to announce Decision No. 2527-QDNS/TW, dated November 14, 2025 of the Secretariat on personnel work.
According to the decision, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and ceased to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term; transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
