The delegation of the ladies visited the SOS Children's Village, attended the closing ceremony of the 2014-2015 school year of the students living and studying in the village. Here, the teachers, mothers, aunts and children warmly welcomed the delegation, bringing home-grown performances that were carefully and meticulously prepared, showing hospitality to the international guests.
At the meeting, Mrs. Maria Arteni, wife of the Romanian Chargé d'Affaires, represented the delegation to give a speech. She praised the attractive and touching performances of the students, highly appreciated the level and love of children of the teachers, mothers, and aunts who are raising, caring for, and educating the children. She also acknowledged the significance and role of SOS Children's Villages, and hoped that in the coming time, the village would receive more attention from the province and the community. At the same time, on behalf of the delegation, she presented a small gift to encourage the teachers, students, and mothers to continue to make constant efforts towards a bright future.

At the children's village, the delegation visited the children's rooms, classrooms, the exhibition room of certificates, awards and products made by the children themselves. Here, the delegation was very impressed with the neatness, orderliness and cleanliness as well as the ingenuity of the children with the products they made themselves.

SOS Children's Village officially started operating in 1992. Over the past 23 years, the village has raised and educated a total of 527 children. Currently, the village is raising 230 children aged 3-23, focusing on intellectual, physical and aesthetic development alongside recreational activities, creating conditions for the children to develop comprehensively.
Saying goodbye to teachers, mothers, aunts and children at SOS Children's Village, the delegation continued to visit Duc Phong Company Limited, a handicraft production and export facility in Nghi Phu, Vinh City.

Here, the delegation was introduced to information about the traditional bamboo and rattan weaving profession of Nghe An as well as of the local people and the company's achievements. After that, the delegation visited the place where finished products were displayed, where they were inspected, packaged and witnessed the stages of making a product. The ladies expressed their interest and love for handicraft products.

The leaders of Duc Phong rattan and bamboo export production company gave meaningful gifts to the ladies and hoped that the ladies would introduce and promote the company to help expand production, create more jobs and increase income. |
Mrs. Abubakar Bekere Ekemu, wife of the Nigerian Counselor, shared: “I really like Nghe An’s bamboo and rattan products. Nigeria also has craft villages specializing in producing handicrafts made from similar materials to bamboo and rattan here, but I appreciate more the quality and durability of Nghe An’s handicrafts.”
When asked about the evaluation of the organization and content of the sideline activities, Mrs. Isabelle Holt, wife of the British First Secretary, shared: “The program was very well organized, on time, the activities were very interesting, creating a comfortable feeling for the ladies' delegation. In addition, the locations that the organizers brought to us gave us a strong impression of your efforts to rise up and the talent and ingenuity of the people here.”
