The floods disrupted transport in the capital, with some train stations near the Seine and along its banks temporarily closed. Boats were also banned for the day. Two people died and more than 20,000 people were evacuated from towns near Paris and central France. Insurance companies have paid out about 600 million euros in claims for the floods. |
