(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 23, the tropical depression strengthened into a storm - storm number 6 in 2021. Due to the influence of storm number 6, from the evening of September 23 to September 25, Nghe An had heavy rain, very heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places.

At 3:00 p.m., the center of storm number 6 was about 15.1oN; 110.3oE, about 190km from the coast of Binh Dinh, about 165km from the coast of Quang Ngai, about 208km from the coast of Quang Nam, about 275km from the coast of Da Nang. The strongest wind speed: level 8 (60-75km/h), gusting to level 10. It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, the storm will move in the West Northwest direction at a speed of about 20km/h.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasts that in the next 12 hours, the storm will move mainly in the West-Northwest direction, traveling 15-20km per hour. At 1:00 a.m. on September 24, the storm's center was located at about 15.4 degrees North latitude; 109.0 degrees East longitude, right on the sea from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai. The strongest wind near the storm's center is level 8 (60-75km/h), gusting to level 10.

According to the forecast of the North Central Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of storm No. 6, from the evening of September 23 to September 25 in Nghe An and Ha Tinh, there will be rain to heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain and thunderstorms with total rainfall of 100 - 200mm, locally over 250mm. High risk of occurrenceflash flood, landslidein mountainous areas and localized flooding in low-lying areas and riverside areas.

For mountainous areas:Deploy shock troops to inspect and review unsafe houses, residential areas along rivers, streams, outside river banks, areas at risk of flooding, landslides, flash floods; prepare plans to evacuate people in areas at high risk of deep flooding, flash floods, landslides to safe places. Review and arrange forces to control and guide traffic at culverts, flooded and isolated areas; prepare forces, materials, and means to overcome incidents, ensuring smooth traffic on main traffic routes.

The Department of Health directs the work of ensuring safety in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, especially in concentrated evacuation areas and quarantine areas; directs the work of ensuring safety and creating favorable conditions for disaster prevention and control forces to perform their tasks.
