Born in 1978 into a farming family, Nguyen Ho Lap only attended school until grade 8. When he grew up, he studied mechanical engineering, specializing in small-scale civil mechanical projects in the locality. Mr. Hop shared: A few months ago, he heard on TV an announcement about a competition for innovative models to prevent congestion and flooding in urban traffic, so he immediately researched this model. After more than a month of both researching and working, the model was basically complete.
According to the model, when there is a traffic jam at the intersection, vehicles will go up the overpass to the other side of the intersection to avoid the jam. In particular, with the steel design, easy to assemble and disassemble, it reduces construction costs and does not require clearing the ground to build the bridge. The bridge abutments are screwed into the concrete pillars on both sides of the road and the median strip, so traffic safety is not affected.

The road up and down the bridge is easily raised and lowered by a winch system installed on the bridge abutment. When not needed, the road can be raised, and when there is a traffic jam, the road can be lowered to allow vehicles to access the bridge. Photo: Xuan Hoang |

According to him, the model is an overpass made of wood, but if applied in reality it is made of iron and steel, easy to assemble and disassemble, safe for vehicles participating in traffic. In addition, this overpass also creates a tourist attraction for the city.
