Mr. Son promotes mass sports movement

(Baonghean.vn) - With more than 100 sports tournaments organized from district to grassroots level, 32,400 people regularly practicing sports... the sports movement in Anh Son district is spreading strongly, attracting people from all walks of life to participate.

Present at the volleyball court of block 2 of Anh Son town one afternoon, we joined in the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the elderly people playing volleyball very enthusiastically. The good moves and the cheers and encouragement seemed to enliven the whole countryside.

Table tennis attracts a large number of people of all ages to participate.

The sports movement is carried out by Anh Son district according to the motto of taking residential areas as the center, youth, teenagers and students as the core to encourage other groups to participate such as elderly members, farmers and women.

In particular, responding to the Campaign "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho", the sports movement in the district has increasingly developed. The whole district currently has 35 sports clubs including many sports suitable for all ages such as: volleyball, badminton, table tennis, football, health care...

Playgrounds, training grounds, and stadiums have been gradually invested in and upgraded to meet the people's need for physical exercise and sports. Currently, the whole district has 120 soccer fields; 284 volleyball courts, 105 badminton courts, 90 table tennis tables, and 20/21 communes and towns have stadiums. In schools, there is investment in building a system of playgrounds and adequate learning tools for students to practice sports. 100% of schools meet the physical education requirements in the curriculum, 75% of schools meet the physical education requirements in the extracurricular curriculum, thereby improving the health of students and discovering talents to nurture and provide athletes for teams competing at all levels.

In 2015, the whole district organized 4 district-level tournaments and 21 communes and towns organized more than 100 tournaments with the following contents: football, volleyball, badminton, cross-country running... Typical communes include: Cam Son, Dinh Son, Tao Son, Linh Son...

Localities maintain mass sports activities in the area.

The mass sports movement in Anh Son has been bringing about practical results. Every resident in the district has shown enthusiasm in practicing sports, contributing to improving health, creating a useful and healthy playground, thereby increasing solidarity in residential areas.
