Mr. Son: Each commune has a model for safe food production.
(Baonghean) - Implementing Directive No. 08-CT/TW of the Central Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership on food safety issues in the new situation", Anh Son district has launched the campaign "Residential areas say no to dirty food" to change the thinking, awareness and actions of farmers in livestock farming, clean production...
In the spirit of Directive 08 of the Central Party Secretariat and the Resolution of the 20th District Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020, Anh Son district has developed a project on socio-economic development associated with new rural construction, in which in the field of agricultural production, it encourages the development of specialized production areas to increase economic efficiency in the direction of quality and sustainability, ensuring food safety and hygiene.
With the motto of “clean, quality, good for consumers’ health”, along with propaganda work, the Anh Son District Party Committee has directed the mobilization of mass organizations in the political system such as farmers, youth unions, women’s unions, etc. to build safe production models associated with campaigns. In particular, the campaign “Residential areas say no to dirty food” launched by the district’s Fatherland Front has created a widespread influence in the community.

As one of the three typical households awarded by Anh Son district in the preliminary summary of the campaign "Residential areas say no to dirty food" in 2016, Mr. Ngo Khac Tuan's family in village 4, Hoa Son commune has 3 sao of land specializing in growing various vegetables such as bitter melon, cucumber, kohlrabi, and clean cabbage.
Mr. Tuan shared: “My family always strictly follows the production process of not using chemical pesticides. During the planting and care process, I only spray biological pesticides twice from the beginning to the end of the crop, so as not to cause harm to the health of producers as well as consumers”. Therefore, the products made by the family are purchased directly by traders, on average, Mr. Tuan's family earns 10 million VND/sao per crop.
Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh's family in village 7, Cam Son commune, has started implementing a clean livestock model on an 8-hectare hilly area. Currently, her farm has about 1,000 egg-laying hens, 9,000 meat chickens, 30 goats, and 2 fish ponds to serve the regular needs of people in the district and neighboring areas. Thanks to the clean livestock model, without using banned substances, applying livestock farming on biological bedding made from agricultural by-products such as rice husks and sawdust to limit environmental pollution, it brings high economic efficiency. After deducting expenses, each year her family earns a net profit of more than 400 million VND.

Discussing the direction of clean livestock production, Mr. Hoang Ba Nhi - Secretary of the Party Committee of Cam Son commune said: The whole commune of Cam Son currently has 33 large and small farm models. Of which, there are 9 pig farms, the total number of pigs sold annually is from 300 - 800, the output of live pigs is from 30 - 70 tons. Regarding vegetable production, the whole commune currently has 50 hectares, concentrated in the guard area, the beach area of hamlet 1/5 and hamlet Hoi Lam, Ha Du, with a variety of vegetables.
Promoting that potential advantage, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Cam Son commune determined that ensuring quality, clean and safe products must always be of concern and focus. Immediately after the 21st Party Congress, Cam Son commune issued a Resolution on local economic development. Based on the resolution, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Cam Son commune closely followed the practical situation of each village to direct effective implementation.
Each cadre and party member of Cam Son commune has clearly recognized their role and responsibility in mobilizing farmers to use fertilizers and pesticides that ensure safety, without prohibited substances that are harmful to consumers' health in livestock and crop farming. Thanks to that, safe vegetable products of Cam Son people always ensure quality and become a familiar address for consumers.

Implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress of the commune for the term 2015 - 2020, focusing on accessing and quickly applying scientific and technical advances to increase crop and livestock productivity associated with promoting commodity production, increasing income value per unit area, the Party Committee of Linh Son commune has chosen village 4 to build a model of growing vegetables to compensate for the tops on the Lam River alluvial land associated with the campaign "Residential areas say no to dirty food" launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Currently, the model has more than 20 hectares with more than 50 households participating in planting, with the current selling price of 5,000 - 6,000 VND/bunch. Calculating the average income from tops and flowers, after deducting expenses, people in village 4, Linh Son commune earn a profit of more than 15 million VND/sao/crop.
Mr. Ha Phi Khanh - Secretary of the Party Cell of Village 4, Linh Son Commune said: Implementing the campaign "Residential areas say no to dirty food" associated with the policy of converting crop structure towards commodities, the Party Cell of Village 4 has promoted the pioneering and exemplary spirit of party members, first of all, party members registered to implement, pioneered in not using pesticides or stimulants in the production process, then actively propagated people from home to the fields to expand the area of planting trees to compensate for the tops to create good quality, clean products, bringing unique characteristics of Linh Son Commune.
To effectively implement and create a large spread of the campaign "Residential areas say no to dirty food", immediately after launching, the Fatherland Front Committee of Anh Son district deployed the signing of commitments to 252/252 residential areas, over 500 households producing vegetables, food of all kinds specializing in supplying the market in the district and in the province to register to use pesticides properly, ensuring the time from use to harvest is in the permitted list, at the same time over 27 farms, pig farms, semi-industrial chickens, free-range chickens signed a commitment not to use lean meat-producing substances, banned substances in livestock farming...

Along with that, it is necessary to promote propaganda on the loudspeaker system, in village meetings, thereby building safe production models "from production to consumption". Instruct localities to directly guide and advise farmers on how to choose and use animal feed, pesticides on the list of permitted use, be aware of environmental protection, collect pesticide shells and packaging, and fertilizers after use. Immediately after the first launch, there were 46 typical livestock and crop models in the whole district, through which the district Fatherland Front commended and rewarded 27 collectives and 14 outstanding individuals.
It can be seen that the deployment and implementation of the campaign "Residential areas say no to dirty food" has created a great spread in Anh Son district, becoming a widespread movement, thereby raising people's awareness and responsibility for food safety and hygiene; developing production and business in an environmentally friendly direction, providing the market with safe food for the health of themselves and consumers.

Anh Son district has focused on building a number of safe vegetable production models in the communes of Cam Son, Hoa Son, Phuc Son, Linh Son...".
