B.Binh Duong recruits foreign player once valued at 1 million euros
In 4 days, V.League will officially start. Becamex Binh Duong football team is completing the final steps to prepare for the 2018 season.
Finishing V.League 2017 with 11/14 position, B.Binh Duong leaders decided to strongly reform the team. First, the team of Thu Dau Mot decided to part ways with coach Tran Binh Su. Replacing the veteran coach is none other than young general Tran Minh Chien - who previously worked in the club's youth training system.
Based on the advice of coach Tran Minh Chien, B.Binh Duong said goodbye to a series of players such as Michal Nguyen, Xuan Thanh, Van Ha, Hoai Nam, Van Vu... Two foreign players, Dugary Ndabashinze (who used to play in Europe), Diogo Pereira Junior (Brazil), despite their best efforts, were still released before the deadline.

On the other hand, the former Vietnamese football star of the 90s has brought in a series of young players. Notable among them are midfielder Nguyen Anh Tai (former U23 Vietnam player), defender Ho Tan Tai (on loan from Binh Dinh) and central defender Que Ngoc Manh (transferred from XSKT Can Tho).
In terms of foreign players, after the BTV Cup 2018, B.Binh Duong signed a contract with Romario Kortzorg. The Dutch striker born in 1989 used to play for a number of German clubs such as Erzgebirge Aue in Bundesliga 2 and won the Romanian National Super Cup in 2015. Notably, according to the international transfer website Transfermarkt, he was valued at up to 1 million euros in 2013 when he played for Erzgebirge Aue.
During the important training trip in the coastal city of Nha Trang, the team continued to try out nearly ten foreign players and finally chose Greek central defender Alexandros Tanidis. The player born in 1991 has an ideal physique (1m85 tall), is quite good at aerial combat, and has played for several small German clubs. In Thu Dau Mot, he is expected to contribute to strengthening the B.Binh Duong defense, which was quite loose and lacked quality personnel in the 2017 season.
Speaking to Goal.com, Mr. Ho Hong Thach, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Binh Duong Football Sports Joint Stock Company, the management and operation unit of B.Binh Duong Club, said:
"Currently, B.Binh Duong Club has completed preparations for the 2018 season, the team's playing style has also been shaped after the 2018 season, the training trip in Nha Trang is mainly to improve the players' endurance, physical strength... I affirm that B.Binh Duong is completely ready for the 2018 season. We will be determined to win against HAGL in the opening match to raise the team's spirit."
Although this is his first time as a coach of a club in the V.League, Coach Tran Minh Chien has shown that he is very skillful with the BTV Cup championship, hoping that the team from the land of Thu will continue to play well, completing the set goals in the 2018 season.
